Smoothie Recipes

Here’s a few great smoothie recipes to provide some inspiration. Remember that Smith’s sell a variety of frozen fruit and preserves that make it quick and easy to make a delicious smoothie, packed with health-promoting vitamins and anti-oxidants.


Strawberry and Raspberry Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups of orange juice
  • 1 banana
  • 0.5 cup of plain yoghurt
  • 1 cup of frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup of frozen raspberries

 

Method

  • First pour the liquid ingredients (including the yoghurt) into the blender
  • Place all the fruit into blender at the same time
  • Blend until smooth

 

Blackberry Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 0.75 cup apple juice
  • 0.5 cup plain yoghurt
  • 1.5 cups frozen blackberries
  • 1 banana

 

Method

  • First pour the liquid ingredients (including the yoghurt) into the blender
  • Place all the fruit into blender at the same time
  • Blend until smooth

Double Apple Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas
  • 1 green apple
  • 1 red apple
  • approx one dozen frozen strawberries
  • 1 – 2 cups apple juice

 

Method

  • Place the ingredients into the blender in the order listed and mix on high until fully blended

Raspberry Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen raspberries
  • 1 cup skimmed or semi-skimmed milk
  • 3 tablespoons raspberry preserve
  • 4 ice cubes
  • 2 scoops plain or vanilla soy protein powder

 

Method

  • Combine the ingredients in the blender
  • Cover and blend on high for about one minute
