Although lockdown measures have started to ease up slightly, the Smiths Farm Shop team has taken the decision to remain cautious in order to protect its loyal customers.

We are continuing to work hard to ensure each and every one of our customers keep safe. We take the heath and safety of everyone who walks through our door extremely seriously, which is why we have updated our instore safety policy.

  •  We are continuing to restrict customer numbers in the shop to ensure a two metre  distance can be maintained where possible while inside.

  • More tills are now being manned by extra staff to keep waiting times to a minimum and they have all been fitted with safety screens.

  • We are taking up to £45 contactless card payments.

  • Face coverings must be worn at all times inside by all staff and customers, unless there is a medical reason not to.

  • We have erected an outdoor structure to protect our customers from the sun or rain as they queue to access the shop.

  • A fresh coffee van is now stationed outside so those who are waiting can enjoy a cup of something hot before they start their shop.

  • Hand sanitiser must be used upon entry to the shop by everyone.

  • Cleaning rotas have been updated to ensure the store can be thoroughly cleaned throughout on a regular basis.

  • We have introduced the earlier opening time of 8am, Monday to Saturday for vulnerable people and key workers to shop for an hour.
